The blood sugar levels of a person with pre-diabetes are a bit higher than the normal levels. Therefore, the person’s pancreas works harder to release enough insulin to lower the blood glucose levels. If this condition persists for a long time, the ability of the pancreas to release insulin gets low. It leads to the development of diabetes type-2.
